Playing the game

Plotjack is a free game made by ThreeSided Studios. You are welcome to play it for fun as much as you like. By playing it, you agree to these terms.

Be decent

Please do not try to break, overload or misuse the game or the services behind it, or use it to bother other people. We may limit access to anyone who does.

Content and ratings

Book One and Book Two are written for ages 13 and up. After Dark mode is for adults (18+) only, and by switching it on you confirm you are one. Any adult word packs or adult books we add later will also be 18+ and opt in only, kept separate from the main books, and may include gore or sexual content. Retellings that Mortimer improvises are made by a computer from words in the book. We work to keep them on track, but they can be odd. That is rather the point.

Your stories

The stories you make are yours to share. The books, the art, the characters and the Plotjack name belong to ThreeSided Studios. You may share screenshots, clips and stories from the game, and stream or review it. Please do not copy the game, its art or its writing to sell or pass off as your own.

No warranty

The game is provided as it is, for free. We cannot promise it will always be available or free of bugs, and your saves live in your browser, so we cannot restore them if they are cleared. To the extent the law allows, ThreeSided Studios is not liable for any loss that comes from using the game.

Changes

We may update the game and these terms. If the terms change, we will update this page and the date above.
